Pistachio Muffin

These 3 fat men have inspired me to do something I've never done in my entire life.

I attempt to bake muffins. Me, who don't even know what is baking powder want to bake something and not any common muffins that you can find from shops but pistachio muffins.

Aunt : What muffin you making again?

Me : Pistachio muffin.

Aunt : They got make pistachio muffin in Masterchef?

Me: No, but I am inspired to make after I watch them.

Talk about overachieving.

First I get the recipe online. Then I set out to buy my ingredients which is surprisingly few cause most can be found in the pantry. I swear it's a mini Coles inside there.

Then you mix this, mix that and whisk them into a batter. The whisking is quite fun but must be careful not to over whisk it.

Lastly oil the baking tray and pour the batter into them. I used a 6 cup baking tray but according to recipe, it should be 12 cup tray. Later I will pay the price of not following the recipe.

 

The muffins took forever to cook. The recipe said to bake for 15 minutes but my muffins didn't cook by then. I suspect the size of the muffin makes it hard to bake in 15 minutes. In the end it took close to 30 minutes to bake it.

 

It tasted a bit dry but the general feedback from family members were good. I am motivated to bake more stuff in the future.
